Granting access based on a licence plate is one thing. Knowing how many vehicles are actually present and whether there is still space available goes one step further.
With Park-R Parking Count, every entry and exit is included in the current parking occupancy. You see in real time how many vehicles are parked, how many spaces are free and what the occupancy rate is: for the whole location, per company and, with Parking Sections, per zone. Park-R takes that capacity into account when granting access.
Without parking count, Park-R decides whether someone has access based on, for example, licence plate, access rights, time schedules and reservations.
Parking Count adds an important factor: is there actually still parking capacity available?
Park-R registers every parking session. With Parking Count, a session counts towards occupancy for as long as the vehicle is inside, and Park-R uses that occupancy when deciding on access.
As soon as a location, company or section is full or has space again, Park-R can start an automation, for example to switch a FULL sign. A licence plate that is refused because the car park is full can also start an automation.
Parking Count works with a camera at the entrance and at the exit. Without an exit camera, Park-R does not know when a vehicle leaves. Parking spaces can then be released automatically at night.
Access control decides who may enter based on licence plate, access rights, time schedules and reservations. Parking Count adds current occupancy, so Park-R also refuses access when capacity has been reached.

Yes, through the Park-R API. See API Access.
With Park-R Parking Count you gain insight not only into who has access, but also into how your parking space is actually used.
